To ensure the health and safety of our guests and residents, we need additional face masks and hand sanitizer. Because of the changes we have made to our meal service, we also need three-compartment to-go containers, bottles of water, and 8 oz coffee cups with lids. Additionally, we are now giving away toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and canned food to our neighbors in need but we need more supplies to meet the requested needs. You can stay up-to-date on our daily needs by following our Facebook page.
Last year, the Lexington Rescue Mission served more than 48,000 meals to our hungry neighbors. Food donations are a simple way to make a difference. The items we need most are canned fruit, peanut butter, spaghetti, pasta sauce, diced canned tomatoes, canned corn, green beans, peas and carrots, individual packages of cookies, lemonade mix, coffee, sugar
We take donations of coats, hats, gloves, t-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, shirts, pants, and shoes that have been previously worn, but we prefer to give our guests new underwear and socks. Because we have very limited storage space, we ask that you please limit your clothing donations to items that are currently in-season.
