Food Donations

Last year, the Lexington Rescue Mission served more than 48,000 meals to our hungry neighbors. Food donations are a simple way to make a difference. The items we need most are canned fruit, peanut butter, spaghetti, pasta sauce, diced canned tomatoes, canned corn, green beans, peas and carrots, individual packages of cookies, lemonade mix, coffee, sugar and creamer. We also need fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen meat, and eggs. If you want to organize a food collection at your church, workplace or school, we can supply barrels to collect non-perishable food and fliers you can use to promote your collection. Let’s work together to make sure that everyone in our community has something to eat!

Clothing Donations

We take donations of coats, hats, gloves, t-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, shirts, pants, and shoes that have been previously worn, but we prefer to give our guests new underwear and socks. Because we have very limited storage space, we ask that you please limit your clothing donations to items that are currently in-season.
