Reaching Hearts. Changing Lives.
You Can Help.It often starts with a hot meal, hygiene supplies, or a warm bed. These simple acts of compassion can open the door to address the deeper issues that keep hurting people trapped in poverty and offer real hope for the future.
We Exist to Serve and Glorify God
Through Christ-Centered Ministry
Since 2001, Lexington Rescue Mission has worked to rebuild lives that have been broken by poverty. Poverty steals peace. It crushes dignity. It destroys hope. So in all that we do, we invite people into the presence of Jesus Christ.
He alone offers peace that passes understanding, the dignity of being a child of God, and lasting hope for eternity. He is the one who redeems that which is broken. And through Him, we see lives changed.

What we do
Our Services
Caring for those in need
People who are hurting will find help meeting their basic needs at the Lexington Rescue Mission. We offer nutritious meals to anyone who is hungry, clothing for those in need, and a place to rest for the weary. All of our guests are invited to meet with our case worker who will help them regain financial stability and take steps out of poverty.
Preparing people for work
Men and women who need employment will find help getting back to work at the Lexington Rescue Mission. Our Jobs for Life classes teach the skills necessary to find and keep lasting employment, and graduates are placed in jobs in local businesses so they can provide for themselves and their families.
Ending Homelessness
Helping people get off the streets and out of shelters is at the core of our ministry. We offer transitional housing for homeless men and women who need help getting back on their feet. We also provide housing counseling to help homeless individuals and families move into a home of their own.
Restoring Broken Lives
Men and women whose lives have been broken by trauma, addiction, and incarceration can find healing and hope through the Lexington Rescue Mission. We lead classes in jails, prisons, and in the community that get to the root of self-destructive behaviors and offer lasting freedom in Christ.
What Drives Us

Those We Serve
David
After years of chasing his addiction to pain pills, David ended up in prison. When he was at his lowest point - in an isolated prison cell with no friends - he met Christ. When David was released from prison, he found that, just as God had delivered him from his addiction, He would faithfully provide for all his needs - food, clothing, employment, transportation, and a church - using your gifts to the Mission.
Juan
Hope often starts with a meal here at the Lexington Rescue Mission. Juan found not only food, he found a purpose. He began serving in the kitchen. He took our Jobs for Life classes and found employment, making it possible to support his family once again. Most importantly, he found new life in Jesus Christ. Juan moved back to Florida to be near family and thanks God for giving his a second chance.
Dale
Dale came with his brother, Lester, to the Mission when they were hungry and on the brink of homelessness. They found hot meals....and so much more. The brothers started coming to our chapel services and Bible studies, and they surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ. Dale began to find his purpose in serving at the Mission, where you can still find him volunteering nearly every day!
