To help men and women become self-sufficient, the Mission offers a variety of services, including budgeting, housing and parenting classes. The budgeting class teaches money management skills, the housing class teaches tenants their rights and responsibilities, and the parenting classes teaches parenting skills. In 2009, we provided life-skills training to 176 people.
Budgeting classes are on Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m., parenting classes are on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. and the housing classes are on the first Tuesday of the month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. All classes are held at our Outreach Center at 444 Glen Arvin Ave. They are free and open to the public.
To register for a class, please call (859) 381-9600. If you would like to volunteer to teach or assist with a class, contact volunteer@lexingtonrescue.org or call (859) 381-9600, ext. 224.
